I am a Qualified Counsellor who has attained a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology) and a Master of Counselling. I have a wide range of counselling experience and use a variety of approaches which I have honed over 20 plus years of practice both as a counsellor and group facilitator. I especially like to work using a Narrative focus which is a very positive and very respectful way of having conversations with clients.
I offer counselling for individuals, couples, and youth and children. I see myself as an effective counsellor with a friendly, warm and non judgemental attitude. Please check out my WEBSITE for more information including pricing for sessions. Or email me on : firstname.lastname@example.org.

My ways of working can include :
Face to Face and Phone/Skype/Face Time Counselling.
Couple Therapy- using a wide variety of proven techniques, including Emotionally focused couple work. I also offer an on-line couples course.
An Inner Child Focus - working with a person’s inner child can be especially helpful where some trauma has occurred in childhood. “When our inner child is blocked, we are robbed of our natural spontaneity and zest for life” Lucia Capacchion 1991, Recovery of Your Inner Child.
Symbol & Sand Tray Therapy - playfully and intuitively choosing objects to arrange and re-arrange in a tray of sand can allow your subconscious to show you what it already knows. The answers you find can really take you by surprise!
Using creativity and art materials - a great way to explore issues where words may not be enough or are too hard.
Grief and Loss Counselling. I have long time experience in this area of work.
Parent Child Play- an attachment based, therapist directed, play therapy which strengthens the bond between a child and care giver. Especially useful with younger children where there has been some disruption to the parent-child relationship, eg. illness or hospitalisation of the child or a parent or sibling, a sibling with a disability, a death in the family, domestic violence having occurred or any other such event. Please give me a ring to discuss if suitable for your situation.
Group work - covering a wide range of topics including Inner Child and Art Therapy self exploration. Please check my website for group calendar or plans.
Laughter Yoga - this is a unique exercise routine. It bypasses the intellect, which usually acts as a brake on natural laughter. Laughter Yoga is done in a group, where eye contact is encouraged and involves doing some stretches and deep breathing, as well as laughter exercises which combine acting and imagining with playfulness. It is a great way to allow our inner child to come out and play. Please contact me for more information on Laughter Yoga.
